THE MODEL BOAT PEOPLE
This photography project explores model boat enthusiasts, located at the seaside resort of Great Yarmouth.
I met these individuals at the Venetian Waterways and was drawn to their camaraderie. The hobbyists were very supportive of my interest to creatively document them over the past year and a half. They meet twice a week and enjoy sharing their knowledge and passion of building model boats. Their dedication is key to their success with fifty members, from junior to senior, and a long waiting list. This project is in the making of a book and a touring exhibition in 2024.
